What happens during the eye examination?
At Envision Eyecare, we ensure every patient has a comprehensive bulk-billed eye examination and we will evaluate the following:
History and symptoms
How is their general health, are there any regular medications?
Are there any previous eye injuries or surgeries?
Symptoms: Are they experiencing any blurry vision, headaches, sore eyes or red eyes?
Visual acuity
Can they see things in the distance well?
Can they focus on books and devices well?
Prescription assessment
What is their prescription?
OR Are current glasses still suitable?
Binocular vision assessment
Are there any eye turns?
How well do their eyes move together to help with fluency of reading?
Anterior and posterior ocular health examination
Are their eyes healthy?
Are there any sight threatening eye conditions?
Report sent to guardians
After the eye test, a report summarising results of the eye test will be sent to parents or guardians.
In cases where patients have eye conditions or require further assessment, parents or guardians will be contacted directly to discuss our optometrist’s recommendations.
Spectacle program
Envision Eyecare also offers a spectacle program for patients who need glasses or a change in prescription.

Yes, it is free for all schools, daycares and aged-care facilities. Envision Eyecare offers bulk-billed comprehensive eye tests conducted on-site and only requires a space for testing.

Our optometrists are therapeutically qualified with special interest in paediatric optometry.
The eye test will involve assessing the patient's vision, prescription, colour vision, binocular vision status and ocular health.
